Certification you can stand behind.

We certify what runs at the core of your organization.

Independent assessment and certification against 12 ISO standards, with auditor and awareness training. We audit management systems and issue certificates of registration; we do not design or implement the systems we certify.

Application, Stage 1, Stage 2, decision

You have a management system running and want it certified. We scope it, quote a fixed audit duration from the accreditation body's formula, audit it in two stages, and pass the evidence to a reviewer who was not on the audit team. We cannot build the system for you.

Every route ends the same way: an audited management system, and a certification decision taken by someone who was not on the audit team.

Standards we certify to

Twelve standards, one connected system

Choose the outcome you need certified. The standards that cover it light up, and the lines show which ones organizations most often hold together under a single audit.

The standards organizations ask us to certify first

What certification to each of these standards is sought for, and what the audit against it examines. Every standard has a full guide to its requirements and its audit.

All 12 standards

ISO 9001 certification

Predictable delivery

Defined processes, ownership and acceptance criteria reduce variation between teams, shifts and sites.

What the audit examines

Stage 2 examines the process in practice.

Most often certified alongside

What ISO 9001 certification involves

ISO 14001 certification

Compliance you can evidence

A live register of obligations, evaluated periodically, replaces hoping the permits are in order.

What the audit examines

Stage 2 examines control on the ground.

Most often certified alongside

What ISO 14001 certification involves

ISO 45001 certification

Fewer incidents

Systematic hazard identification and risk control reduce both frequency and severity over time.

What the audit examines

Stage 2 examines control at the work face.

Most often certified alongside

What ISO 45001 certification involves

ISO 27001 certification

Sales acceleration

A certificate of registration gives enterprise procurement a third-party answer to the questions a security questionnaire asks, so vendor review turns on evidence rather than assertion.

What the audit examines

Stage 2 tests the controls against evidence.

What an audit is for

Two ways to spend the same audit days

Audit duration is set by the accreditation body's formula, so the number of days is fixed either way. What changes is what those days are spent on. Select any row to compare it side by side.

An audit that checks paperwork

An audit that tests the system

The difference is not the number of days, it is what the auditor asks to see. An audit that only reads documents cannot tell you whether the system works.

The certification cycle

Six stages, three years, one decision

From application to recertification, with the decision taken by someone who was not on the audit team. Select a stage to see what it examines and what it produces.

The cycle does not close: recertification in Year 3 issues a new three-year certificate.

Customer audits and PPAP-style scrutiny

What customers here ask us to certify

Certification to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001

Walk the manufacturing environment

How a certification cycle runs

Sample scenario

From three audit calendars to one integrated certification cycle

A mid-sized precision-engineering manufacturer, two sites, about 180 staff

Three calendars, one audit programme

Documentation the audit sampled

What the application presented

The manufacturer held ISO 9001 and applied to add ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 to the same certificate, to hold a major OEM contract. Three sets of documentation had been produced separately, each on its own review calendar, and the application described a scope that covered both sites without saying how the two differed.

The recurring theme from the applicant's own customer audits was documentation present, practice divergent. That is a question the audit could test directly, so it shaped where the audit team spent its time.

How the audit ran

  • Application reviewed and audit duration calculated from effective headcount, scope, complexity, risk category and the two sites, with the reduction that applies when three standards are audited together rather than separately.
  • Stage 1 examined the documented information, the scope boundary, and whether internal audits and management review had been completed across all three standards. Two areas were raised as improvement requests: the shared risk method and the definition of the second site's boundary.
  • Stage 2 was conducted on both shop floors, sampling operations, records, competence, internal audit effectiveness and corrective action against each standard's requirements at the point the work is done.
  • Findings were graded and reported within five working days. The recommendation went to a reviewer who was not on the audit team, and surveillance was scheduled at the end of Year 1 and Year 2 against a single combined audit programme.

What they work from

Every delegate works from a course workbook and runs the exercises on sample case material. Courses teach how the standard is written and how it is audited; they do not document or implement your system, and attending one changes nothing in a certification decision.

How CORE trains

The people

Auditors assigned for competence, not for availability

A certification body has to demonstrate that every auditor is competent for the standard and the sector they are sent to assess. Audit teams are assigned on that basis and rotated across the cycle.
